Is Caitlin Clark Playing in the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game?

We head into the WNBA‘s showcase as All-Star weekend is upon us. The league’s biggest stars will take center stage at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis for a weekend of women’s basketball events and, of course, the big game. Saturday will feature Team Clark facing off against Team Collier in a battle for WNBA supremacy. The question on everyone’s mind is, will Caitlin Clark suit up in front of her Indiana Fever home fans?

Is Caitlin Clark Playing in the WNBA All-Star Game?

Unfortunately for the league, WNBA and Fever fans, Clark will not lace them up on Saturday night. The face of the league has decided to prioritize her health, so she is at 100 percent for Indiana’s playoff push. Clark is dealing with a right groin injury after aggravating it on Tuesday night in a win over the Connecticut Sun.

The 23-year-old native of Des Moines will also miss the skills challenge and three-point contest this weekend. Named as one of the captains, Clark will still be in attendance for all the festivities this weekend, but as a spectator. She will also assist Team Clark’s head coach, Sandy Bordello, for the game on Saturday night.

It remains to be seen if Clark, who has missed five games with a strained left groin and time with a left leg injury this season, will be good to go following the break. Indiana is back in action in New York on Tuesday, when they visit the Liberty at Barclays Center.

WNBA All-Star Game Format: This year’s All-Star Game follows the popular captain format. Caitlin Clark and Napheesa Collier were selected as captains and drafted their teams from the pool of All-Stars. Coaches were also traded as part of the process, setting up a star-studded matchup between Team Clark and Team Collier. Whether Clark will play remains to be seen, but the matchup promises to be exciting regardless.
