1. Samuel Basallo, C – Baltimore Orioles (Triple-A)
Stat Line: 5 G, 18 AB, 7 H, 3 HR, 10 RBI, 1.556 OPS
The Baltimore Orioles' No. 9 prospect, Samuel Basallo, continues to mash in Triple-A. The power-hitting catcher led the International League in OPS this past week, launching three home runs and driving in 10 runs over just five games. His 1.556 OPS stands as one of the best weekly marks we’ve seen in the minors this season.
As the trade deadline looms, Basallo’s stock is soaring — whether for a future in Baltimore or as a coveted trade chip. If he keeps this up, he may be in Camden Yards sooner rather than later.
