Leg 1: Yankees Run Line -1.5 (-120)
Both teams come into this one following a mediocre 5-5 stretch. Most concerning for the Yankees is their 6.34 ERA over the past 10 games. What better time to have your ace on the hill on the road? New York has been good away from home with an 18-13 record, where starter Max Fried has gone 4-1 with a 2.15 ERA. The former Atlanta Brave has been good everywhere this season, tied for the MLB lead with eight wins, while sporting the third-best ERA in the AL at 1.78. Fried already has a W against the Royals this year, after holding them to five hits and two earned runs, while striking out seven over 6.2 innings as part of a Yankees three-game sweep in late April.
Kansas City’s offense has left much to be desired in 2025. The Royals have the fifth-lowest team WOBA at .298 and rank fourth from the bottom with a 6.9% barrel rate. Their struggles to get on base have led to the second-fewest runs in the American League, a problem New York does not share.
The Yankees lead the bigs with a .351 wOBA and are second in baseball in xSLG (.473) and hard hit percentage (45.8%). Unsurprisingly, New York’s gaudy numbers at the plate have led to them being the highest scoring team in the AL, to go along with the best OPS (.809) in baseball.
Take the moneyline (-200) if you want to play it safe, but I like the value of the run line at -120.

Leg 2: Aaron Judge RBI (-105)
The biggest cog in the Yankees’ offensive machine is undoubtedly Aaron Judge. Judge is putting together another MVP-calibre season, leading baseball with a .396 batting average, second in the bigs with 23 homers, and second in the AL with 55 RBI. It’s not surprising to see him dominating the American League MVP race, with ridiculous -20000 odds. In addition to traditional stats, Judge is also an analytics animal. The Yankees slugger ranks in the 100th percentile in almost every advanced category. His .728 expected slugging percentage, 56.5% hard-hit rate, and 23.7% barrel rate are off the charts.
While Judge has yet to face Royals southpaw starter Noah Cameron, he absolutely rakes against lefties. The 6’7" monster, mashed to the tune of a .422 slugging percentage and 1.537 OPS in 45 at-bats against left-handers this season. He also crushed against Royals pitching this season with seven hits and two walks in 10 at-bats.
Coming off a four-RBI performance on Sunday, I expect Judge to cash in at least one tonight.

Leg 3: Paul Goldschmidt to Record a Run (-175)
While Paul Goldschmidt may not be your prototypical lead-off man, Aaron Boone has deployed the veteran slugger atop the Yankees order plenty this season. Goldschmidt is second on the team with 40 runs, and some of that has to be attributed to hitting in front of Aaron Judge. The former Arizona Diamondback has batted in the one-hole in six of his past 12 starts, many times when New York faced lefty starters. We’re hopeful Goldschmidt leads off again tonight, as hitting in front of Judge only helps his case.
Goldschmidt has a sparkling .473 batting average and lofty .574 OBP against lefties this season, while hitting four of his seven round trippers facing southpaws. The former NL MVP has done this damage in a third of the at-bats he has had against righties in 2025.
For whatever reason, Goldschmidt has excelled outside of Yankee Stadium. The 37-year-old’s .431 OBP and 1.001 OPS on the road dwarf his .303 OBP and .643 OPS at home this season.
While the price could be better, this play makes sense as part of a parlay rather than a straight bet, so let’s go Goldie!
