Today’s action takes us to the shores of Lake Erie for an interleague bid between the Cleveland Guardians and Colorado Rockies. On the mound, we’ll see LHP Logan Allen and RHP Tanner Gordon.
The Rockies have been historically bad in 2025. As of now, they are projected to lose 112 games. Incidentally, Colorado has been awful at covering the spread this season, displaying a run-line record of 44-62 (41.5%).
When it comes to hitting lefties like Cleveland’s Allen, the Rox have struggles there as well. Colorado shows a dismal .647 team OPS versus southpaw pitching. Their frustrations are further compounded in away games, where they hit just .207 (.609 OPS).
The Guardians’ lineup has been seeing the baseball better as of late. Since the All-Star break (11 contests), they’re hitting .254 (.771 OPS) while plating 5.09 runs per game. From there, Cleveland is 55-51 (51.9%) ATS this year. With that, I’ll take Guardians -1.5 at -102 odds on FanDuel Sportsbook.
Best Bet: Guardians -1.5 (-102)
Where to Watch Atlanta Braves vs. Kansas City Royals
- Ballpark: Kauffman Stadium
- Location: Kansas City, MO
- Where to Watch: FDSNSO, FDSNKC
- Time: 7:40 p.m. ET
- Spread: KC -1.5 (+158) | Total: 9.5
- Moneyline: ATL +106 | KC -124
After a booming series opener, the Kansas City Royals are hosting the Atlanta Braves at Kauffman Stadium again on Tuesday. Projected starters currently reflect righties Seth Lugo and Erick Fedde.
In his 10th MLB campaign, Lugo is performing strongly behind a 2.95 ERA and 1.08 WHIP. He’s been slightly better at home, where opposing hitters are registering a lackluster .221 BA/.661 OPS against him. Meanwhile, Fedde — tagged with a 5.09 FIP over 20 starts — is not having his best year, but perhaps he’ll benefit from new surroundings; Tuesday will be his first start with Atlanta.
Notably, the Royals have been a darling for under bettors in 2025, going 62-43-2 (59.1%) in the market. That makes sense when reflecting on some of their offensive stats. To this point, Kansas City has churned a .683 OPS as a team, which is the second-worst rate in the American League. From there, they’ve scored just 383 total runs, outdoing only the Pittsburgh Pirates right now.
The Braves’ lineup has also underperformed this year. Presently, they are striking out in 22.8% of all plate appearances. Additionally, Atlanta is slashing a mediocre .230/.313/.382 on the road—give me under 9.5 total runs at The K.
Best Bet: Under 9.5 (-110)
