Any time the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Francisco Giants get re-acquainted, they never disappoint. The Giants left with a convincing 6-2 win in the series opener. Then, the Dodgers returned the favor and annihilated San Francisco 11-5 on Saturday. That sets up tonight’s showdown as the rubber match, with all eyes locked on the Dodgers versus the Giants in primetime.
These are the bets we’re making for our Sunday Night Baseball Same Game Parlay!

Through the first two games of this series, we’ve seen the best these teams have to offer. Another strong offensive showing is anticipated on Sunday night.
The Dodgers send Dustin May to the mound for the series finale. His hot start is ancient history, and May should continue to regress versus the Giants. The Dodgers’ righty gave up just two earned runs through his first 17.0 innings pitched this season, but has struggled since. More concerningly, he remains below his expected ERA (4.58), implying that further correction is anticipated. Those concerns are validated by his 8.4% barrel and 42.1% hard-hit rates.
Similarly, Kyle Harrison doesn’t possess the repertoire to contain the Dodgers’ bats. The Giants’ probable starter has a horrendous 48.5% hard-hit rate and a 10.5% barrel rate, which plays into LA’s strength as the premier offensive team in the big leagues.
Both pitchers will struggle to contain their opponents. Assuredly, that points toward more runs at Chavez Ravine. We’re betting on that trend continuing with another high-scoring affair on Sunday Night Baseball.

Leg 2: Casey Schmitt to Record 2+ Total Bases +180
It’s time to pay attention to what Casey Schmitt is contributing to the Giants’ offense. Since Matt Chapman went down with a hand injury, Schmitt has taken over every day third base duties. All Schmitt has done is power the Giants’ lineup from the bottom of the order.
While he hasn’t accumulated the necessary plate appearances to rank as a qualified hitter, Schmitt would rank as one of the best in baseball. The 26-year-old sits on the top end of the spectrum in most offensive categories, punctuated by his 12.5% barrel, 50.0% hard-hit, and 39.6% sweet spot rates.
Moreover, Schmitt’s .487 slugging percentage sits 80 points above actual. That points toward ongoing success at the plate as his stats catch up with expectations.
We wouldn’t be surprised to see Schmitt send another ball into the outfield bleachers on Sunday night. But we’re taking a more conservative approach and backing him to record two or more total bases versus the Dodgers.
Leg 3: Freddie Freeman Over 0.5 Home Runs +475
Shohei Ohtani and Teoscar Hernandez have terrorized pitchers lately. The Dodgers duo has combined for six home runs over the last three games. There may be value in backing either one to continue their dominance versus the Giants, but we have our sights set on a more contrarian play in the series finale.
Freddie Freeman remains a catalyst in the Dodgers’ lineup. He sits in the 95th percentile in expected batting average and 94th percentile in sweet spot rate. However, he also continues to produce top-end power metrics. So far this season, Freeman has a 10.9% barrel rate and 91.1 mph average exit velocity.
Still, the Dodgers’ first baseman has struggled early in June. His .292 slugging percentage is nearly 300 points below his season-long benchmark of .563, and he hasn’t swatted a home run since May 11.
It’s time for the pendulum to start swinging the other direction. Freeman has an elite bat, propped up with superb underlying metrics. He should have the chance to send one out versus Kyle Harrison. At +475, that’s a bet worth making.
